Seattle Seahawks Week 3 Offensive & Defensive Game Balls

Week 3 MVP’s

The Seattle Seahawks got their first win of the 2011-2012 season against Arizona on Sunday and a couple of players that made a difference are headlined in Dave B’s Seattle Seahawks Week 3 MVP’s.

While the team as a whole showed flashes of what they could be, there are two individuals that stood out and became worthy of the Weekly Honour.

LB Leroy Hill Had 11 tackles In the win over Arizona

Offense:

WR Sidney Rice The Hawks were in desperate need of a game changer and Rice seems to be that guy. Whenever the team needed a play they went to him and he delivered. Rice had eight catches for 109 yards on Sunday almost out producing all of the other wide receivers combined have done all season.

Rice’s presence on the field should open this offense up a bit. Mike Williams was strangely held without a catch on Sunday. When this offense figures out how to use both of their Receivers, Seattle could decent offensively. The presence of Rice opened up some room for Marshawn Lynch as well. Lynch had his best game by far carrying the ball 19 times for 73 yards.

So, there is absolutely no doubt about who the Offensive MVP is! Sidney Rice – he makes that team a whole lot better.

Defense:

LB Leroy Hill - Hill tallied 11 tackles, eight solo, and one sack in Sunday’s 13-10 win over Arizona.

He was a complete difference maker and rallied his team in impressive fashion.

Did you see the hit the Leroy laid on that Cardinals defender on the last play of the game? WOW

I saw Q (Senior Editor of NWSB on Twitter) proclaim.

OH MY GOD WHAT A HIT BY LEROY HILL!!!!!!! Seahawks win 13-10. 1-2 record. Way to go team!

If the defense can maintain what they had going on Sunday then this team should be OK going forward.
